A TASTE FOR PEACE

"Your Good Taste Shows"

A Lifestyle Television Show

Created By Roxanna Bain

LOGLINE:

Millions of viewers help a former Miss USA make her dream of World Peace come true.

SYNOPSIS:

Our host, a former Miss USA, will facilitate the development of a line of “A Taste for Peace” Products. Her dream will materialize in front of the world as she makes it her business to visit sponsors and work with their real life employees to develop products that will be sold to raise money for World Peace issues.

The objective of “A Taste for Peace” is to create a Lifestyle television show which will not only be entertaining, but also serve as a vehicle in which viewers will take pride in watching and knowing they are helping others – one bite at a time - with the purchase of our delicious new products.

A world-wide, ongoing effort to support World Peace (WP) causes that will end hunger, house the homeless, educate both children and adults, and stop and prevent war begins with “A Taste for Peace.”

TREATMENT:

This real life show will be hosted by a former Miss USA who really meant it when she said her wish was for World Peace as she accepted her crown (suggest Susie Castillo. 2003 Miss USA * ).

Her mission during our show will be to visit various divisions of our International sponsor, (suggest Nestle*), and work with their selected real life employees to develop new products to carry the label “A Taste for Peace”.

Prior to developing the products, the former Miss USA will meet with graphic designers to create an eye-catching logo that will brand the products to be easily recognizable by the consumer.

In another segment, she will meet with corporate executives at Nestle and solidify a deal that will allow them to license our logo and brand name, “A Taste for Peace”, for use on developed products. Further, they will agree to donate a percentage of each “A Taste for Peace” product sold to WP causes.

Other episodes will find Miss USA meeting with non-profit WP organizations to determine where the funds raised under our brand should be allotted. (this will bring much needed attention to the work that is being done now and can be done in the future with the help of “A Taste For Peace” television show and viewers who purchase our new products).

*Note: neither Miss USA nor Nestle has been approached about the show at this time. Names are used as example only.

DISCUSSION:

To my knowledge, no other television show is using their high media exposure to raise money for a worthy cause. However, similar campaigns developing products as fundraisers for charity are being done for Breast Cancer (using a Pink Ribbon as logo), and a highly successful campaign started in 2006 by rock singer, Bono, has developed (RED) Products and quickly raised over $50 Million for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

According to the RED FAQ , “Established brands partner with us and license the (PRODUCT) RED mark to create (PRODUCT) RED products and services. (PRODUCT) RED partners send a portion of the profits made on (PRODUCT) RED products directly to the Global Fund, to fight AIDS in Africa. The consumer does not pay extra for this. (RED) never handles this money – it is sent directly to the Global Fund.”

Without the distinct advantage of a television show, (RED) has raised record breaking funds by developing new products with large companies including: American Express , Converse . Gap , Emporio Armani , Motorola , Apple , Hallmark .

These companies have stepped up and taken a stand to help others, setting a stellar example for Nestle and other corporations we will approach to support “A Taste for Peace”.

Imagine how much “good taste” we will show as we raise funds to help others with “A Taste for Peace” TV show. Our delicious new products will be purchased again and again - keeping our show name continually in our viewer’s homes – on their tables – and goodwill in their hearts!

Possible partners/sponsors:

Nestle seems a good candidate to sponsor and participate because they have an International presence, and offer a wide range of products categories in which we can develop a variety of unique new products to add to their established brand names. Nestle’s products include coffee, chocolate, water, dinner entrees (Stouffers), ice cream (Dryer’s), dog food, sandwiches (Hot Pockets), baby and children’s nutrition (Gerber), diet food (Jenny Craig), among others.

Nestle also has a long running program in place called “ Creating Shared Value” which facilitates their company philosophy of giving back and making this world a better place for all. Our show should fit well with this program and give Nestle a fresh approach to further their work and provide much needed world-wide publicity to sell the products.
