LOGLINE:
Computer Geeks will compete against “Internet Challenged” contestants as they live together and build a life and business entirely on-line.
SYNOPSIS:
Cyber Survivor will challenge contestants, both Geeks and the not-so-geeky, to survive on a limited budget while building an online business to increase their bank accounts. They will begin living together in an unfurnished house with nothing but the clothes on their backs and a laptop computer each.
Shopping only the Internet, they must prudently choose between clothing, household furnishings, food, and personal items. While doing this, they will need to begin an online business, also funded from their limited bank account (PayPal*). They will need to make difficult choices as to where and what to purchase, and how much money to allot to their businesses. They will need to choose between online websites such as auctions (e-Bay)*, department stores (sponsors), or even classified ads.
All contestants will be required to choose and pay for certain items like high speed cable or dial-up (sponsors). Each week they will also be told to purchase specific items (like a bed) and must surf the net for their best deal.
They will need to build a successful business with an income to become the “Cyber Survivor”, as the one with the largest bank account at the end of the show will win the prize (TBD).
HOSTS:
Suggested hosts are Kathy Griffin and Steve Wozniak*. Kathy will consult with the Greeks and Steve will help the Internet Challenged contestants.
Kathy Griffin was the host of reality show, “Average Joe”, and currently has her own show “My Life On The D List”. She admits to knowing very little about the Internet.
Billionaire Steve Wozniak (WOZ) is well known as co-founder of Apple. He is dating Kathy and has planned appearances on her show in the upcoming season.
*Neither suggested host have yet been approached, nor have any sponsors.
