Planet Peace

A Reality TV Show

Created By Roxanna Bain

LOGLINE:

Celebrities from three countries live together as they attempt to raise over $7.5 Million Dollars to break a Guinness World Record so that their country will become the “World Peace Headquarters”.

SYNOPSIS:

Three countries will each be represented by a team of celebrities who will develop new products for sponsors. The products will be voted on by viewers and/or judges, and sold to the public to raise money to buy the domain name “WorldPeaceHeadquarters.com” and break the Guinness World Record of $7.5 Million US Dollars in the category of most expensive Internet domain name.

After purchase, the domain name, “WorldPeaceHeadquarters.com”, will be donated to a World Peace charity in the winning country that has competed for and won the domain name by viewer vote.

The inner workings of the charities and the people who support them will appeal to the hearts of our viewers and encourage them to vote for their favorite.

Our efforts will not only spotlight the need for world peace by incorporating segments from active charitable groups, but also brand and establish this domain name with continual income to benefit refugees and other causes supported by the winning World Peace charity.

Rights to our new brand of products will be licensed to major companies with a residual income from sales continually funding World Peace charities.

The contestants will live together in a beautiful castle (or mansion) in any of the participating countries ~ or perhaps in multiple locations incorporating all of the countries.

Week 1: SPONSOR: Ben & Jerry’s Homemade, Inc.*

Contestants will go to Ben & Jerry’s research lab. Each team will develop a new “World Peace” flavor of ice cream, decide on a name, and design packaging for it.

By the time this episode airs on television all new flavors will be in the stores and restaurants that carry B&J’s. The viewers will decide which flavor they like best, and will text in their vote for it.

B&J’s will donate a portion of the proceeds from the sales toward our goal.

Week 2: SPONSOR: International Pizza Franchise*

Recap previous week and remind audience to purchase products and vote. Our contestant teams will create new products for this week’s sponsor that will be available to the public as our show airs. The viewers vote on their favorite and the sponsor donates a percentage of sales to our goal.

Week 3: SPONSOR: International Sub Shop*

Recap previous weeks and remind audience to purchase products and vote. Our contestant teams create new products for this week’s sponsor that will be available to the public as our show airs. The viewers vote on their favorite and the sponsor donates a percentage of sales to our goal.

Week 4: SPONSOR: International Fast Food Franchise*

Recap previous weeks and remind audience to purchase products and vote.

Contestant teams create new products for this week’s sponsor that will be available to the public as our show airs. The viewers vote on their favorite and the sponsor donates a percentage of sales to our goal.

Week 5:

This week will be a special behind the scenes look at previous shows, and a more in-depth interview with Guinness World Record representatives. Emphasis will be on the value of the WorldPeaceHeadquarters.com domain name and the instant branding it will provide to a World Peace Charity to further their cause of creating World Peace, and lead into the next three shows. A recap of the developed products will encourage viewers to visit our sponsors and vote on their favorite.

Week 6, 7, 8:

Each of the next three weeks will highlight at least two World Peace Charities from each country competing for the domain name “World Peace Headquarters.com”. We will interview representatives from the charities about their reasons for wanting the name and plans for it. This can be expanded to delve into the life styles of the people who work and volunteer to support these causes.

Our celebrity teams will each create a plan for the development of a revenue producing web site for the domain name. The charity reps will choose the plan they would like to implement if they win the name. The winning team will be awarded a prize.

Week 9:

A recap of previous weeks will remind viewers this is the last week to visit our sponsors and vote for their favorite products. We will then invite them to vote for the charity that will win the domain name.

Week 10: Final Show – Live

We will reveal the winning products (that received the most votes) and the amount earned toward our goal to break the Guinness World Record. The team whose products earned the most money will be our grand prize winners – dividing prize money among them.

The combined earnings from all products in all countries will be used to purchase the domain name “WorldPeaceHeadquarters.com” and break the Guinness World Record in the category as Most Expensive Internet Domain Name.

If we earned enough money to buy the domain name (at least $7,501,000.00) we will announce the winning charity and donate the purchased domain to them. If we did not meet our goal, our sponsors will continue to sell the products and our next season will develop new products to add to our line and reach our goal to break the Guinness World Record..

*suggested sponsors have not yet been approached .

DISCUSSION:

To my knowledge, no other television show is using their high media exposure to raise money for a worthy cause. However, similar campaigns developing products as fundraisers for charity are being done for Breast Cancer (using a Yellow Ribbon as logo), and a highly successful campaign started in 2006 by rock singer, Bono, has developed (RED) Products and quickly raised over $50 Million for The Global Fund to Fight AIDS, Tuberculosis and Malaria.

According to the RED FAQ , “Established brands partner with us and license the (PRODUCT) RED mark to create (PRODUCT) RED products and services. (PRODUCT) RED partners send a portion of the profits made on (PRODUCT) RED products directly to the Global Fund, to fight AIDS in Africa. The consumer does not pay extra for this. (RED) never handles this money – it is sent directly to the Global Fund.”

Without the distinct advantage of a television show, (RED) has raised record breaking funds by developing new products with large companies including: American Express , Converse . Gap , Emporio Armani , Motorola , Apple , Hallmark .

These companies have stepped up and taken a stand to help others, setting a stellar example for other corporations we will approach to support “Planet PEACE”.

Imagine how much “good taste” we will show as we raise funds to help others with “Planet PEACE” TV show. Our delicious new products will be purchased again and again - keeping our show name continually in our viewer’s homes – on their tables – and goodwill in their hearts!

Note: The creator of this show, Roxanna Bain, is sole owner of the domain name, WorldPeaceHeadquarters.com. She is willing to share a portion of the proceeds from the sale (US$7,501,000 + ) with producers and agents who help to make this lifestyle show a “reality”!
