LOGLINE:

Sleuthing hits a high note when three Juilliard students literally become characters from Broadway Musicals to save the world from a terrorist cat, only for them to discover they cannot return to their real identities until they capture him.

SYNOPSIS:

Young actors are caught up in a fantasy world when their computer mouse comes to life and orders them to capture THESPIS, a Broadway obsessed, bad cat. THE THESPIANS must live their lives as famous characters from shows in which THESPIS imagines himself to be starring as they investigate reports of computer systems crashing around the world.

Curiously, a cat has been spotted in a Surrey headed for the OKLAHOMA City Post Office; somewhere in the SOUTH PACIFIC a ship’s computers are down; an aloof CAT has been hanging around a junkyard near the Kennedy Space Center “creeping through the tiniest crack and performing surprising illusions and creating eccentric confusions”.

Is it Mr. Mistoffelees? Is it Macavity? No, Macavity isn't there ~ it's THESPIS ~ magically escaping as the Juilliard 3 exclaim, “Oh! Well, I never! Was there ever a cat so clever!”

THE THESPIANS travel the world investigating reports of "Trouble in River City", STORIES of mainframes rumbling on the WEST SIDE, or suspicious ghosts darkening an old OPERA House in Paris. The chase circles them back to NYC where THESPIS attempts to sabotage the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade - only to end up full of hot air!

From high notes to high balloons, THESPIS and THE THESPIANS is a musical pursuit combining the Glamour of Charlie’s Angels with the action of the Fugitive ~ the charm of E.T. with Broadway Music.

MICK - Tall, good looking, early 20's - acting/music student
ZASIA - Beautiful blonde Russian Ballerina, mid 20's, studying drama at Juilliard.

Species: Feline
Home: KLIC-Kingdom in the CyberSea (located directly below Cyber Space)
Real Name: GUIDO

History: GUIDO (aka THESPIS) is a bad cat booted out of Cyber Space down to the CyberSea where he opened the local Mouse On Board (M.O.B.) factory. He captured POOF, The Magic Mousy, turned him into a computer mouse, and sold him to a college student on Earth.
Hobbies - Computer hacking, Acting, Singing - Obsessed with Broadway Musicals - especially the musical CATS - imagines himself a cross between the magical Mr. Mistoffelees and Macavity, but easily takes the identity of any character in any show.
Destination: Earth
With the return of his nemesis, POOFF, to the CyberSea, GUIDO plans to escape to earth with his latest invention, 'A BUG' to crash the world's computer network. He changes his name to THESPIS and disguises himself as famous characters from different Broadway shows while infiltrating high security areas.

Species - mouse - turned computer mouse - now half/half
Home: born on earth, uploaded during the rising of the CyberSea.
History: Turned into a computer mouse by Guido - sold as slave to Briana.

Now re-called to the CyberSea, POOFF must find GUIDO and get the program that can turn his body back to a real mouse. He must stop Guido before he destroys earth and/or loses all of his nine lives – leaving Pooff a mutant mouse forever. He hires his former owner, Briana, and her friends to catch him.
